What Grok is
Grok is the chat product from xAI. You type in normal language. It answers. Grok Build is the coding side: it tries to make a page, a game, or a small tool, on the web and in the phone app, and also in a terminal if you already use one. The Grok Build guide is the tool page. This page is only the hello.
What a prompt is
A prompt is what you type. On this site a useful one has three parts: context (who you are), scope (one small thing), and constraints (three must-nots). “Build me an app” has none of those.
Why this is a sandbox
The buttons here cannot see your files, and they do not call xAI. Nothing you type is stored by this site. When you choose Continue in Grok, that tab is xAI’s website. Their privacy policy applies over there. Use two windows: this guide stays open.
